Oilseed Rape

This crop is showing renewed interest for arable farmers. Cereal prices in Europe have declined and oilseed rape prices have increased and so some farmers who have been growing continuous wheat are now looking at introducing oilseed rape as a profitable break crop in the rotation.

COURAGE is a new variety of winter oilseed rape which we have introduced. Courage is one of the top varieties in the UK and has shown great promise in trials on Irish farms. Courage combines excellent yield with stiff straw and very high oil content.
